How do I know if our nonprofit received a DAF donation from the GoFundMe Giving Fund?

If you represent a nonprofit and are wondering whether your organization has received a donation (also known as a grant) from the GoFundMe Giving Fund (GFGF), here’s what to expect.

How will we be notified about incoming donations?

When a donor recommends a grant to your organization through their Giving Fund (a Donor-Advised Fund managed by GFGF), and the grant is approved, your organization will be notified via the contact information listed in public nonprofit databases.

This contact includes: 

• A monthly email notification sent from support@account.gfmgivingfund.org with a summary of details (amount, donor info if shared, and disbursement timeline) of all donations you’ve received from the past month. Here's an example of the email you can expect to receive: 

  

• Delivery of the grant via mailed check or electronic funds transfer on a weekly basis, depending on what’s on file or available through our data sources.
• GoFundMe Giving Fund works with Givinga Foundation, its disbursement partner, to ensure donations reach the intended charity.

What if we didn’t receive a donation notification?

If you believe a donation may have been made to your organization but haven’t received confirmation:

1. Check your spam or junk folders for any emails from GoFundMe Giving Fund or from our disbursement partners.
2. Confirm your organization’s mailing address and email are up to date in IRS and nonprofit databases.
3. Reach out to us directly with your organization’s name and EIN so we can look into it for you.
