Submitting an Arbitration Opt-Out or a Request for Informal Resolution
Under Section 8.6 of the GoFundMe Giving Fund Program Guidelines, you have two options related to arbitration:
- Arbitration Opt-Out – If you prefer not to be bound by GoFundMe Giving Fund’s arbitration agreement, you can submit an Arbitration Opt-Out within the deadline outlined in Section 8.6.
- Request for Informal Resolution (“Notice of Claim”)– If you have a disagreement with GoFundMe Giving Fund about the Program Guidelines or any contribution to or donation from a Charitable Account, the Program Guidelines require both parties to first try resolving it informally—before starting any legal action.
For either form, our team will review your request quickly. For opt-outs, once a valid request is processed, GoFundMe Giving Funds will honor your decision moving forward. For Informal Resolutions, we will contact you after reviewing your request to start the informal discussions.
